PEI Potters Studio Presents "An Enchanted Forest" for Art in the Open

Members of the PEI Potters Studio are excited to present a special project as part of Art in the Open this year. Using their imagination and skills in handbuilding and clay sculpting, studio members have created an amazing variety of whimsical ceramic pieces that will be installed in a wooded area in Victoria Park near the location of the studio.

Follow an illuminated path into an enchanted forest glen and discover a magical fairy village, complete with fairies and goblins, fairy houses and doors, toadstools and butterflies—and a few surprises!  Everyone is welcome to visit the exhibit between 4 pm and midnight on Saturday, August 26.

The PEI Potters Studio is grateful for financial support from the Community Cultural Partnership Program as well as in-kind support from This Town is Small.

Fundraising Sale 2017 (Post-sale update)

The PEI Potters Studio would like to thank everyone who attended our sale and made it a great success. This was made possible due to all the people who donated pottery pieces: pottery course instructors, studio members, and past students.   This was our best sale ever and the funds will be used to help our non-profit co-operative run and keep fees as low as we can.

I took a couple pictures in the morning when it started to get quite busy; these picture below don't show how packed it was by 9am.  We unpacked as fast as we could and near the starting time the tables were crammed with pottery and people.

We'd like to thank everyone who helped out with the sale as the many hands made much lighter work. Thanks also to the people who shopped and for being being co-operative in the queue to pay that developed for a while.

By the end of the sale, we were left with about half of what is being shown in the picture above.

The next annual sale will be the Saturday of the Gold Cup and Saucer event in 2018.
